The Pediatric Imaging team at the University of Arizona Medical Center’s Diamond Children’s Hospital is dedicated to clinical excellence in serving the special needs of children and their families.
Our team is comprised of expertly-trained, board certified clinicians, scientists, technologists, and support staff who provide comprehensive imaging services. Our team is steadfastly committed to accurate, thorough, and expedient imaging while minimizing medical radiation exposure to children. Our equipment is state-of-the-art and tailored to the needs of children by minimizing radiation doses and providing a comforting and entertaining experience using CinemaVision MRI movie goggles and MR-compatible movie screens.
Demonstrating our commitment to safety, we have pledged to the Image Gently campaign—a nationwide coalition of over 500,000 health care professionals dedicated to safer imaging by adherence to dose reduction imaging protocols and education. Even before the “Image Gently” pledge, the Banner University Medical Center imaging team was working to reduce radiation for pediatric patients while maintaining high-quality diagnostic CT images that were within national guidelines set by the American College of Radiology. Our facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology for CT—one of the few Arizona hospitals to undergo the rigorous accreditation process.
