Emergency Radiology

Established in 2019, our emergency radiology division is a busy service section covering all imaging modalities and organ systems including CT, MRI, ultrasound, diagnostic imaging/X-Ray, and fluoroscopic procedures. We offer the full range of critical care imaging services providing superior care for the most time-sensitive, critically ill patients.

Our team provides attending radiologist service for two of the busiest emergency medicine departments in Southern Arizona. Banner University Medical Center – Tucson is the leading Level I Trauma Center serving the southern Arizona region. Collectively, the Emergency Departments at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson and Banner - University Medical Center South see over 135,000 patients annually.

Emergency Radiology strives to provide the best evidence-based case readings and high quality, timely, final reports. Faculty on-site consultation is available and double coverage is provided for every shift. We have strong collaborative relationships with our referring physicians in the emergency department as well as all clinical departments in the College of Medicine – Tucson.
