Welcome to the University of Arizona’s Interventional Radiology Integrated Residency Program. This program is one of four accredited residency training pathways offered by the Department of Medical Imaging.
The Integrated Interventional Radiology Program is a 5-year ACGME-accredited training program that begins with a 1-year ACGME-accredited clinical experience, followed by three (3) years of diagnostic radiology training and concluding with two (2) years of focused interventional radiology training in a clinically oriented teaching environment. Of note, our first IR resident began their journey with us in 2018.
In addition to our dedicated faculty and affiliation with the College of Medicine - Tucson and Banner University Medical Center, our city offers a rich array of cultural and artistic amenities, all set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. Known for its vibrant university community, Tucson is a hub of diversity and intellectual engagement, making it an excellent place to live and raise a family.
We encourage you to learn more about us and what we have to offer as you make your future professional decisions. We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Gregory Woodhead, MD, PhD
