Ted Trouard, PhD, professor emeritus of biomedical engineering and professor of medical imaging, is pictured with the university's current MRI instrument. The new 3Tesla instrument will have advanced hardware that can produce clearer and more comprehensive images of the brain with greater speed.

Innovation Stories: Interventional Radiology

Congratulations to Interventional Radiology for their trailblazing work. Aiming to help patients with pelvic tumors, the IR team has begun to successfully treat patients with a procedure called Pudendal Nerve Cryoneurolysis. This new treatment involves cryoablation for pain management and is being pioneered by Interventional Radiology.
