Celebration of Life for Connie Whitehead

We are sad to announce that Connie Whitehead, a beloved and valued past member of our department, passed away on January 24. Connie was a longtime administrative assistant and the wife of our founding department chair, Dr. Paul Capp. A Celebration of Life event will be held in honor of Connie at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish at 10:30am on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Drs. Marlys and Russell Witte Featured in 55th Anniversary Article

Marlys Witte, MD, and her son, Russ Witte, PhD, have worked together at the College of Medicine since 2007. Marlys and her late husband, Chuck Witte, MD, were among founding faculty for the College of Medicine – Tucson’s Department of Surgery. Dr. Russ Witte is a Professor of Medical Imaging who leads the Experimental Ultrasound and Neural Imaging Lab in the Biosciences Research Laboratory.
