Interventional Radiology Patient Care

Interventional Radiology is the intersection of Radiology and Surgery, minus many of the risks, costs, recovery time, and physical trauma of traditional surgery.  IR uses advanced medical imaging technology (MRIs, CTs, X-rays, Ultrasound, and other imaging modalities) to perform minimally-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system.  Interventional radiologists use real-time images to direct miniature interventional instruments (needles, probes, and catheters) throughout the body to treat at the site of illness internally, rather than making large incisions into the body.  This results in shorter hospital stays and improved health outcomes. Trained interventional radiologists can now treat many conditions that once required open, invasive, surgery.  IR is a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.  Interventional Radiologists are certified by the American Board of Radiology in both vascular and interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology.

Why choose us?

We are dedicated to discovering new technologies and developing enhanced treatment protocols.  Aside from offering the entire range of vascular and nonvascular minimally invasive treatments using multi-modality image-guided procedures, we were the first to pioneer the use of NanoKnife® (IRE) as a non-surgical treatment option for patients with certain types of cancer.
