Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 Visiting Medical Student DEI Scholarship.
Medical Imaging, in conjunction with the College of Medicine-Tucson and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, offers an annual scholarship for out of state 4th-year medical students interested in our general radiology elective. The MI Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee has had the pleasure of recognizing four outstanding recipients since the program inception.
the scholarship provides:
- $1500 stipend to defray travel expenses such as transportation, lodging, and food (Scholarship funds will be awarded after submission of appropriate receipts)
- Parking near the hospital
- Meal card with $150 in meal allowance
- Resident and faculty mentor assignments
- Networking opportunities with ODEI and medical school affinity groups
- Participation in this scholarship program guarantees an interview for residency program but does not guarantee a position
