Department of Medical Imaging faculty member, Dr. Hina Arif-Tiwari, has received a promotion to full-Professor effective July 1, 2021.
Dr. Arif, a loyal faculty member since 2012, has been dedicated to the department and the Abdominal Division of which she leads as Chief. Over the past few years, Dr. Arif has expanded her clinical duties and managed ever-increasing division and clinical service demands. Dr. Arif continues to oversee the ACGME-accredited Abdominal Fellowship program and consistently delivers excellent resident and fellow training and teaching. As Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Arif serves on the Medical Imaging Executive Committee and participates on five interdisciplinary tumor boards within the College of Medicine-Tucson. Dr. Arif-Tiwari is an active member of the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
Aside from science, patient care and teaching, Dr. Arif is passionately committed to diversity and fair access. As the Department’s Diversity Champion, Dr. Arif recently organized and Chairs the Medical Imaging Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.
