Artificial intelligence (AI) is an exciting technology that can transform the practice of radiology. Because radiology AI is still immature with limited adopters which are primarily academic institutions, it is vital to identify benefits and potential challenges to ensure a successful and scalable AI implementation.

Presenter Nina Kottler, MD, MS, is a radiologist with more than 14 years of experience in emergency radiology. With a graduate degree in applied mathematics and optimization theory, she uses imaging informatics to improve quality and drive value in radiology. Dr. Kottler is a vice president of clinical operations at Radiology Partners, leading their data science and analytics division. She developed and practices in Radiology Partners’ remote imaging division and serves on their AI, IT, and culture and leadership boards. She has served on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Informatics Commission and serves on the following committees: ACR Metrics Committee, ACR Quality and Safety Conference Planning Committee, Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) Machine Learning Committee, SIIM Program Committee, Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) Educational Exhibits Committee and the RADxx Steering Committee.
