Dr. Tseng received his PhD from the College of Optical Sciences, University of Arizona in 2015, and joined as a postdoc in the department of medical imaging. He was promoted to an associate research scientist in 2019. His expertise is in CT physics, system design, system optimization, image reconstruction, and image quality assessment. He has developed compressed-sensing based and deep-learning based reconstruction algorithms for cone-beam CT. He is currently working on the development of dual-energy cone-beam CT for image-guided interventions, and on the development of simultaneous bilateral breast CT system. He has authored 15 peer-reviewed journal publications.
