Dr. Sarah Desoky, Assistant Professor of Medical Imaging, is one of five faculty members to be accepted into the AMES/OMSE 2014-15 Teaching Scholars Program. Designed to advance the vision of the University Of Arizona College Of Medicine as a leader in innovative medical education, the AMES/OMSE 2014-15 Teaching Scholars Program provides support to faculty in their path toward the goals of skillful, humanistic, reflective and scholarly educational practice.
The program requires participants to complete a research project on issues involving teaching practices, assessment, program evaluation or instructional development in medical education. The teaching scholars will report their findings at the final session of the AMES/OMSE FID Series next June, and present posters at the annual Medical Education Research Day in July.
