Shaymaa Mohammed, MBChB is an Assistant Professor of Medical Imaging in the Neuroradiology Division. She received her medical degree from the Baghdad College of Medicine, Iraq. Dr. Mohammed completed her Radiology Residency at the Jordan University Hospital, earning both a Jordanian Board certificate in Diagnostic Radiology and an Arab Board of Health Specialization in Diagnostic Radiology.
Following residency, Dr. Mohammed completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After completing a Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Dr. Mohammed moved to Tucson to complete fellowships in Abdominal Radiology, Head and Neck Imaging and Nuclear Radiology at the University of Arizona – Banner University Medical Center.
Dr. Mohammed is a current member of the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology (ASNR), and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
When she is not working, Dr. Mohammed enjoys hiking and cooking.
