Two College of Medicine-Tucson faculty members in the Department of Medical Imaging, Dr. Jennifer L. Becker and Dr. Hugh McGregor, have received promotions to Associate Professor effective July 1, 2021.
A faculty member since 2013, Dr. Becker is Interim Chief of the Neuroradiology Division. Dr. Becker maintains excellence in her medical student neuroradiology and neuroanatomy teaching responsibilities, and she is a major contributor to the radiology resident and neuroradiology fellow teaching and training programs. With joint appointments in Neurology and Neurosurgery, Dr. Becker is collaborating to develop a comprehensive stroke imaging research program. Dr. Becker is also a member of the IRB Committee at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Hugh McGregor continually strives for clinical excellence in Interventional Radiology and remains dedicated to patient care. His passion for translational research is demonstrated by his current work aimed at identifying molecular treatment targets by examining vascular endothelial cell gene expression in multiple disease states. He is also interested in new device development, having worked to develop a novel cryoablation device to treat gallbladder disease.
