Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE)
After months of hard work, diligence and preparation, the breast imaging team at Banner University Medicine is proud to announce that they have achieved the highly sought after Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) distinction.
The Breast Imaging Center at 4291 N. Campbell Ave. voluntarily underwent a comprehensive peer-review in each of four breast imaging modalities. Throughout the certification process, board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in their fields determined that the highest practice standards in imaging quality, medical equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs were attained. When a BICOE gold seal is awarded to an imaging center, patients can be confident that mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) meet the highest possible standards of care.
The Breast Imaging Center is proud to be an American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The ACR is the largest and oldest imaging accrediting body in the United States with a professional organization of over 34,000 physicians.
