Speaker: Miles R. Conrad, MD, MPH
The Department of Medical Imaging is pleased to have Miles B. Conrad, MD, presenting at our Grand Rounds on Monday, September 24th, in the College of Medicine, Room 2117, at 12:00 pm.
Dr. Miles R. Conrad was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He attended UC Davis, Dartmouth Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health. After completing his internship in general surgery at Virginia Mason, he completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Arizona.
Following a summer as an attending at the University of Arizona in 2008, Dr. Conrad moved to San Francisco where he has been an IR attending at the University of California, San Francisco for the past 10 years. He is currently a Professor of Radiology and the Co-Director of the UCSF Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) Center.
His clinical interests include endovascular management of trauma, pulmonary embolus, and tumor ablation. Dr. Conrad is also a co-inventor of a gallbladder ablation device with Dr. Hugh MacGregor. He is the clerkship director for the Introduction to Interventional Radiology elective at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. He is interested in radiology and medical student education.
