Understanding Micro (and Macro) Aggressions at Work

This presentation will use humor, multimedia approaches, personal examples and current research to define, recognize and respond to micro- and macro-aggressions in the context of work environments. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their own experiences, and engage in brief activities that aim to build consciousness and create strategies toward addressing micro-aggressions. How to be an ally to marginalized and underrepresented folks who experience higher instances of micro-aggression will also be covered.
