Brian Lightwine, DO

Assistant Professor, Medical Imaging - (Clinical Scholar Track)

Brian Lightwine, DO, is an Assistant Professor of Medical Imaging in the Pediatric Imaging Division.  He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University and completed a General Surgery Internship at the Maricopa Integrated Health System, both in Phoenix, Arizona. 

After completing his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Lightwine completed his fellowship in Pediatric Diagnostic Radiology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Lightwine is a current member of the Society of Pediatric Radiology (SPR), American College of Radiology (ACR), and the American Medical Association (AMA). He recently presented his research involving Pleural Effusion Estimation Over Multiple Modalities at the SPR 2023 Annual Meeting. 

Outside of work Dr. Lightwine enjoys spending time with his wife and their rescue animals, a cat and dog. His hobbies include golf, mountain biking and hiking.
