Dr. Shankar is a radiologist at Banner University Medical Center and a Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine - Tucson.  He received his medical degree and completed his internship at Calcutta University in Bankura, West Bangal, India.  Dr. Shankar completed his Radiodiagnosis and Imaging residency at Posgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India.  He completed an Interventional MRI fellowship at Brigham and Woman's Hospital in Boston, MA and an Oncoradiology fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.  Dr. Shankar received his master's in healthcare administration from Baker College online in Flint, MI.
