Ryan J. Avery, MD

Assistant Professor, Medical Imaging - (Clinical Scholar Track)

Dr. Avery holds dual board certification in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Radiology.   He completed fellowships at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital and New York University after finishing residency at Albert Einstein University. His clinical work is centered on the fields of molecular imaging and cardiac imaging with a research focus on the diagnosis of new MRI-based applications for the detection and monitoring of cardiac disease. His research also includes investigator roles in multiple clinical trials, and he is an author of multiple peer-reviewed journal publications.

Research Interests:

Utilization of Cardiac MRI for evaluation of right ventricular disease including pulmonary hypertension and congestive heart failure. Molecular Imaging agents for early detection of neurodegenerative disease. Treatment response monitoring with PET/CT
