Peritoneo-venous Shunts: Old is New Again and Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis for Pulmonary Embolism & Deep Venous Thrombosis

The Department of Medical Imaging is pleased to have Paola Devis, MD, and Stacey Black, MD, presenting at our Grand Rounds on Wednesday, February 17th, at 12:10 pm in COM, Room 2117.

Dr. Paola Devis is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Interventional Radiology at the University of Arizona Hospital. She is board certified in radiology and fellowship trained in vascular and interventional radiology with a Certificate of Acquired Qualification (CAQ) in interventional radiology. Her areas of clinical interest and research include minimally invasive treatments for cancer, such as chemoembolization, and ablation. Other areas of expertise include liver and biliary interventions, uterine fibroids, varicose veins and genitourinary interventions. 

Dr. Stacey Black is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Interventional Radiology at the University of Arizona Hospital. She is board certified in radiology. Other areas of training and expertise include advanced life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced trauma life support.  Additionally, she is a flight surgeon for the United States Air Force, specializing in combat search & rescue, and serves as Chief of Aerospace Medicine for the 305th at Davis Monthan AFB.
