Overview of Perfusion Imaging: Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast (DSC), Dynamic Contrast Enhancement (DCE), Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) and Intravoxel Incoherent Motion (IVIM)

The Department of Medical Imaging is pleased to have Gloria Guzman Perez-Carrillo, MD, MSc, presenting at our Grand Rounds on Wednesday, January 18th, in the College of Medicine, Room 2117, at 12:00 pm.

Gloria J. Guzman Perez-Carrillo, MD, MSc is the Director of the Advanced Neuroimaging Biometrics Initiative at the University of Arizona, Department of Medical Imaging. Dr. Guzman completed her radiology residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, and her Neuroradiology Fellowship and Research Fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to this, she had completed her undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Guzman also completed a Masters in Radiology at the University of Granada in Granada, Spain. Dr. Guzman has special research interests in advanced neuroimaging techniques, including functional imaging, diffusion spectrum based imaging, molecular imaging of tumor with F-DOPA in addition to outcomes and translational research of MRI in the field of Neuroradiology Imaging.
