Title: Medical Imaging Grand Rounds: Introduction to Negotiation in the Work Place

The Department of Medical Imaging is pleased to have Frank Lexa, MD, MS, MBA, FACR, and Dheeraj Reddy Gopireddy, MD, MPH, MBA, presenting at our Grand Rounds on Wednesday, April 4th, in DuVal Auditorium, at 12:00 pm.
Frank J. Lexa, MD, MBA, FACR is the author of the book: “Leadership Lessons for Success in Health Care” published in 2016. He is an academic neuroradiologist and is a Professor, the Associate Chief of Clinical Services and the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and Operations, in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona. He began his career with a visiting position at the Universite de Bordeaux, and has been a Clinical Professor at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine and a Professor of Radiology at the Drexel University College of Medicine where he was also the Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology.
He has been honored with several major scientific research awards including the Cornelius G. Dyke Memorial award of the American Society of Neuroradiology. He also works outside of academic medicine and has been a member of the adjunct faculty of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the marketing department since 2001 where he has taught both graduate and executive MBA students in the Global Consulting Practicum. For several years he also held an appointment as a Professor of Business Development in the Life Sciences at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, at the time the top business school in Europe. There he twice won the prestigious “Prize of Excellence” for outstanding teaching.
Dr. Gopireddy (Reddy), MD, MPH, MBA, moved to Tucson from the windy city of Chicago. He is fellowship trained in MRI imaging with an executive MBA from UW, Madison. Dr. Reddy successfully spearheaded diagnostic radiology residency program at Cook County Health & Hospital System (CCHHS) over the last few years in Chicago. Passionate about advanced MRI body imaging and advancement/optimization of system processes, the move to UA/BUMC medical imaging was natural. At UA/BUMC, he is currently an Assistant Professor in Body Imaging and also the Assistant Director of Clinical Operations at DMI. Grateful for this amazing learning opportunity at UA/BUMC, Dr.Reddy makes sure that he continues to grow, learn and promote collaboration across multiple disciplines.
