The Department of Medical Imaging is pleased to have Max Rosen, MD, MPH, FACR, presenting at our Grand Rounds on Wednesday, January 31st, in the College of Medicine, Room 2117, at 12:00 pm.

Dr. Rosen graduated from Brown University and received his MD from Tufts Medical School and MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. Following his radiology residency at Boston City Hospital and fellowship training in Vascular Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, he worked for 20 years at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, in both the Interventional Radiology and Abdominal Imaging Divisions. In September 2012, he was appointed Professor and Chair of Radiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA.

At UMass, Dr. Rosen is actively involved in many clinical and medical school committees, including the IT Operations Committee, the UMass Medical Group Finance and Audit Committee and the Health Care System Contract Committee. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, the American Heart Association and the Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Rosen is an Associate Editor for the Health Policy and Practice section of the journal Radiology and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the American College of Radiology (JACR). His research is focused on assessing the clinical effectiveness of imaging and radiology process improvement.
