Emerging Technologies in Radiology: From Measuring Tissue Stiffness to Assessment of Molecular Signatures

The Department of Medical Imaging is pleased to have Juergen K. Willmann, MD, presenting at our Grand Rounds on Monday, April 18th, in COM, Room 2117 at 12:00 pm.

Juergen K. Willmann is Professor of Radiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine and Clinical Civision Chief of Body Imaging in the Department of Radiology. He is also the Principal Investigator of the Translational Molecular Imaging Lab and faculty of the Canary Center at Stanford for Early Cancer Detection. His research focuses on the development and clinical translation of novel molecular and functional imaging strategies with a special focus on earlier detection and monitoring of abdominal and pelvic diseases using acoustic imaging.

Dr. Willmann serves as editor and scientific reviewer for numerous national and international leading journals in the medical imaging community and authored more than 120 peer-reviewed scientific articles.
